VERY OLD MUSIC
Defined Static EP
This was the first original music recordings I had done using the software ACID in the year 2000. It didn't feature any real guitar playing but did have guitar loops hacked up to sound like other stuff, through they were royalty free to begin with. I came up with a couple cool tracks I guess and a lot of weird stuff too that got strangely stuck in my head.
If you would like to check out the original tracks which are now part of Noise Vaults #07: MAKINA then click that link and check them out on google drive. You can also download the entire album there at once.
Old Tapes
There's a variety of cheezy here. From the 1988-1993 Rapping years where I thought I was cool as hell and started passing tapes out in the fifth grade to some tapes with my band, noose. One was an actual band practice without words (of course!) taped on a lofi answering machine from the 1980s. The second was when the drummer didn't have his drums for a while as his brother borrowed them and we drove around calling ourselves poopy booby and recording literally all the stupid we could while stoned.
There's other stuff too and I'm sure I'll add more tapes from here and when I die someday or something. It's on a google drive folder.
Primitive Remix Tests
To begin my journey in figuring out how to use ACID software I quickly found a longer less easy way to find the bpm before beatmapper existed. I then chose a band I listened to with friends a lot then
for a while and then stopped altogether. It was of course (and I'm sorry to say this) The Insane Clown Posse. They weren't really the worst band in the world. In fact a lot of parts were pretty funny, though not really scary or too funny, just weird. Others, well, rehashes of the same song ideas over and over.
Since the music itself was so minimalistic I found it easy to add to them. So I did 27 tracks. You can find them on this google drive link split into two discs if for some inane reason you'd like to burn copies for yourself to listen to however.
There were also a few other artists I messed around in remixing, from Nine Inch Nails, Mindless Self Indulgence, Eminem, and The Bloodhound Gang. These were also bad but better. I did not generally use remix kits except for the Eminem tracks, only overlaying music on the original tracks.
